Imagine being able to go to bed, swim, exercise and always have your favourite make-up perfectly in place. It doesn’t have to be a fantasy.
How does it work?
Semi-Permanent Make-up also known as permanent cosmetics, derma graphic art, micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing is a procedure whereby minute particles of natural and synthetic iron oxide colour pigments are implanted a little more than 1mm below the skin surface using a hand piece tool that holds a sterile needle grouping.
How long will it last?
The pigment will fade over time. Some technicians would like to say between 1-3 years but there is in fact no guarantee as it depends very much on our lifestyle. People who over expose themselves to the sun and use creams containing retinol, or have chemical peels’ pigment will fade quicker. Your colour can be retouched every 12-24 months if desired.
Does it hurt?
I numb the treatment area with tropical anaesthetic creams before treatment begins and also during the treatment. Whilst some may feel a slight prickly sensation most people feel nothing at all. The minimal discomfort felt is outweighed by the stunning results achieved.
Is it safe?
At all times, I adhere to the strictest hygiene and sanitation procedures. I only use sterile, disposable needles, which are opened in front of each client, and are used for you complete safety.
Further information
Please be aware that if you are on acne medication (Roaccutane & Accutane) then you must wait 6 months to a year until you can have any SPMU procedure. Other medications you must be clear of for at least 6 months before SPMU are Antabuse. Anti-coagulants (Warfarin) thins the blood so you can not have SPMU on this either.
Must not be pregnant or breastfeeding
Needles are made from nickel and pigments contain iron oxide – if you are allergic then a patch test would need to be done at least 24 hours before the procedure.
If you have suffered from cold sores ever, then it is advised to get a course of tablets from your doctor for them before lip procedures as it could set them off – the tablets will help stop that.
Eyeliner can not be done on eyes with lash extensions on. Have them removed before you come and if you wear contacts remove them and wear glasses that day and until they are healed. Any eye disorders like Retinal Detachment will need written consent from the ophthalmic surgeon before SPMU on eyes can be done.
If you have had Botox or fillers you must wait at least 21 days before having SPMU in that particular area.
We are Finishing Touches trained Semi Permanent Make-up technicians. Finishing Touches is one of the top in the country for SPMU and their machines are the only ones recognised and used by the NHS.
Permanent make-up eliminates the problem of eyebrows that smudge off, lip stick that bleeds and running eyeliner.
CryoPen™ is an innovation in Cryotherapy. It eliminates skin lesions such as: Skin Tags, Milia, Cherry Angiomas, Age Spots, Warts and Verrucas – all treated quickly and painlessly.
Not to be confused with traditional cryotherapy, it eliminates the use of liquid nitrogen making treatment virtually painless, quick, effective, and safe enough to use on children. It is an ideal solution for removal of skin lesions and imperfections. Procedures usually take just 5 to 25 seconds, so you can be in and out of the clinic quickly.
The CryoPen™ emits a pressurised, super fine jet of nitrous oxide from its tip, which allows our clinician to work with precision that is millimeter perfect. The tissue is destroyed by freezing the inter-cellular fluid, this forms ice crystals which break the cell membrane, thereby destroying the tissue we are wanting to remove. That means that healthy tissue remains untouched. It’s so incredibly accurate and practical. Cosmetic procedures such as skin tags, millia and cherry angiomas are no longer treatable as a standard NHS procedure. With the CryoPen™ you can now have these treatments affordably in our clinic.
The Rejuvi tattoo removal system is a unique method of tattoo ink extraction which is designed to completely remove your tattoo ink pigments from the body. The treatment has been extensively researched, developed and tested for over ten years, and in use worldwide for over eight years.
The treatment utilizes similar methods as having the original tattoo. The removal formula is delivered to the ink using a tattoo or permanent make-up machine, therefore the treatment can only be performed by a trained tattoo or permanent make-up artist or medical professional. The extraction cream is specifically designed to blend with and capture the original tattoo ink.
The e-raze treatment is substantially less painful than other removal methods and the treatment course and subsequent tattoo removal is typically much faster and more effective than laser removal options, including effective removal of all tattoo colours.
The e-raze system is suitable and effective on both professional, home made tattoos and permanent make-up and on most areas of the body apart from sensitive areas near the eyes or areas where high levels of moisture occur (where special aftercare considerations may be required). The treatment is not colour selective (unlike laser) and acts on all colour pigments equally.
How it Works
The tattoo remover is applied in a similar manner to having a tattoo or micropigmentation applied using the same equipment.
The tattoo extraction formula gets to work almost immediately drawing the original tattoo ink upwards through the skin.
A crust containing the tattoo ink will form over the treated area, over the next couple of weeks as the skin heals it will push more of the unwanted ink out. The crust will start to naturally fall away taking that unwanted tattoo ink with it.
The treated area should be kept dry after treatment and while the crust is on the skin. See aftercare section for more information. Some of the remaining ink can also move into the epidermis the layer of skin that is naturally being constantly shed and thus the area may lighten further over the following weeks.
The e-raze system is so effective it is feasible although unlikely that a tattoo can be removed in a single treatment. Normally a tattoo will take a number of treatments typically around 3 to 4 depending on condtion, history and your individual circumstances. The treated are should be allowed to heal for 8-12 weeks following treatment before subsequent treatments. If colour is to be reapplied allow 6 months following final treatment.
After treatment the skin will have some redness which will gradually subside. It is important to note that with any method or technology used to effect tattoo removal there are risks involved which may include permanent scarring. There are a number steps that can be utilised to reduce these risks and there are treatments available to reduce scarring should it occur. Unfortunately tattoos are not as easy to remove as they are to apply.

Filler and Botox work to enhance your natural beauty by pluming your face and lips and smoothing out pesky wrinkles.
Lip Augmentation
High on many people’s wish list are full and sensuous lips. This can be achieved by using juvederm or belotero dermal filler to enhance volume and definition, balance asymmetric lips and get that perfect pout. The filler used for lip enhancement is safe and made from a material found naturally within the body. The results are temporary, lasting around 6 – 9 months depending on how your own body breaks down the material.
Marionette Lines
Marionette lines often appear on ageing skin, if you are not sure what they are – they are the lines that appear from the corners of your mouth to your chin. A Teosyal dermal filler can be used to fill the lines and tighten the skin. Using a hyaluronic acid based filler, such as Teosyal, also enhances the skins plump appearance as this filler attracts and retains moisture. Results are again temporary, and a top up is usually recommended within 4 – 6 months.
Nasolabial Folds
Nasolabial Folds are commonly known as “smile lines” or “laughter lines” and can be treated with a more intense dermal filler, which again will plump and tighten the skin, creating a more youthful appearance. Results are again temporary, with a top up recommended between 4 – 6 months.
Glabella Lines
Those pesky frown lines! Don’t worry, they can be treated with a similar dermal filler as used on nasolabial folds. However, it is recommended that first the area is treated with anti-wrinkle injections to stop movement in that area – call us for more information on this treatment!
Botox or Anti Wrinkle Injections
This is a prescription only drug that a specialist nurse comes in to prescribe – once you have your script you can have as many sessions of Botox as you like within a 6 month period until your prescription is then renewed. And the process starts again.
It works by paralysing the muscle chains and can take up to two weeks to take full effect. Once it has then the expected lasting time is 3-9 months. This differs from person to person but the more you keep on top of your Botox the longer lasting effects you will receive from it. The 3 main areas include: crows feet, frown and forehead.
We also offer Botox for combating teeth grinding, bunny lines, gummy smile, downward smile, smokers/barcode lines, dimple chin, brow lift and turkey neck.
Non Surgical Rhinoplasty
Are you looking to change the shape of your nose without invasive surgery? Our non surgical nose job in the clinic is carried out using dermal fillers that temporarily alter the profile of your nose. We can help reduce the look of any lumps, bumps and hooks, and create noses that have a more streamlined appearance.
Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)
This can be a real confidence killer for many people, commonly affecting armpits, hands and feet in both men and women. To tackle this, Botox injections use botulinum toxin to block the nerve signals responsible for sweating, stopping the sweat glands from producing too much sweat. Retreatment is typically needed in four to six months, as the nerves regenerate.
Lash lifting is a semi-permanent, natural enhancement for your lashes. This amazing treatment takes just 45minutes and leaves your natural lashes looking longer, thicker and curlier… all without an eyelash curler in sight. Results last 6-8 weeks and are completely maintenance free! We love this treatment for holidays!
*All tinting treatments require a patch test at least 48hrs prior to appointment
For those who are up for a little more maintenance when it comes to their lashes, we offer beautiful lash extensions, applied by the most precise of hands in the clinic. We do cater in the more natural look but if you’re after something more bold then try our Volume lash extensions for a real WOW factor.
Our lash technician uses individual lash extensions to extend your natural lashes, giving you longer, fuller lashes for up to 8 weeks (infills usually required from around 3 weeks to keep looking fresh and full). Often known as classic or individual lashes, this treatment creates a natural, flawless eye look and is the perfect treatment for anyone wanting to add depth and length to their natural lashes.
Whether you want natural, glam, or just a little boost, our lash artist can create a bespoke look to suit your eyes using our variety of beautiful curls and lengths that won’t weigh down your natural lashes. This treatment will transform your beauty routine.
This treatment was developed to solve the problem that conventional methods are unable to deliver, to implement bigger particles of product, deep enough into the dermal layer.
Particles larger than 200nm cannot penetrate the Epidermis. This means that substances such as vitamins and Hyaluronic acid do not pass through the Epidermis, unless they are injected (as with fillers or Mesotherapy), or holes are punched (as with Fractional laser or dermal rollers) or the delivery is enhanced with laser treatment.
Not everyone wants to have injections? If you fear injections or the ‘tell-tale’ bruising and pain that may be associated with fillers, then the Cell Boost Meso ME treatment is definitely for you.
The MESO ME needle plate feels like a gentle prickly massage but the effects can be stunning and easily compete with what you know from deep-skin injections. Another major benefit is the eye area (where we all have more lines) can be treated, right up to the lash line. There is little or no down time, you could literally have this treatment in your lunch hour!
The Meso Plus facial is more heavy duty, Meso + is suitable for clients that have more difficult skin issues such as acne scars or deeper set lines and wrinkles. It is performed with metal needles that penetrate deeper into the skin and will leave your face red for around 24 hours. This is a more intense facial where treatments should be given 4 weeks apart minimum.
Step 1. The AHA Peel (Mild) or the Cherry Peel (Strong)
The Cherry Peel can only be used once every 3 months and is very strong, after this the AHA Peel can be used every other session. The peel is applied to the skin and left for 3-10mins (depending on skin Type). The dryer and thicker the skin the longer it will take to “pink up”.
Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s) work mainly as an exfolient. They cause the surface cells of the epidermis (Stratum Corneum) to become “unglued”, allowing the dead skin cells to slough off allowing regrowth of new skin. AHA’s may even stimulate the production of collagen and Elastin. AHA’s can improve wrinkling, mottled pigmentation of photo damaged skin and superficial roughness. In skin care products AHA’s work best in a concentration of 5%-8% and a PH of 3-4.
The Brightening Cherry Peel is a powerful rejuvenating treatment, promotes collagen formation while inhabiting uneven skin tone, addressing acne scars, pigmentation and age spots typically found on the face, chest and decollete. This natural source peel encourages cellular respiration while removing revitalised skin cells. Skin is stimulated encouraging the synthesis of collagen which fills fine lines, acne scars and wrinkles for more uniform, softer, smoother appearance. This natural tyrosinase inhibitor brightens and illuminates areas of uneven skin tone without the use of hydroquinone.
Step 2. The Meso ME or Meso Plus Cell Boost Treatment
After the AHA Peel/Cherry Peel is thoroughly removed, the Serum is applied to the skin. Using the Meso ME system, a needle cartridge with 18 points on a convex plate is used to work the serum into the skin at a depth of 0.2-0.3mm (needle depth is 0.5mm). This ensures the product is placed into the Dermal-Epidermal junction where it can be absorbed to create maximum beneficial effect.
Meso Plus needles are metal – the small tilting needle plate contains 6 tiny metal needles. It adapts perfectly to the skins surface and thus facilitates access to difficult areas. The needles penetrate deeper into the skin through the epidermis and deposits the serums deeper down into the dermal-epidermal junction, thus leading to more permanent results. Redness can usually last for 24 hours with slightly more aftercare involved.
Step 3. Aftercare
At the end of your treatment you will see slight redness and a small amount of swelling around areas that have been specifically targeted (wrinkles, scars). This is normal and should reduce within a couple of hours. The aftercare cream is gently applied to the skin, a good moisture mask or even coconut oil should be applied before bed that evening.
Ideally you’re not to reapply make up until the following morning – at which point it will glide on beautifully.
A course of 6 treatments is recommended for full effects with the Meso ME, the first 4 a week apart and the last 2 sessions a month apart. Alternatively, once monthly sessions are also a welcomed treat for your skin!
Meso Plus courses are spaced out more with a minimum of 4 weeks between treatments.
Waxing
We offer both warm wax (strip wax) and hot waxing services in the clinic.
Hot wax and warm wax both remove the hair from the root but there are differences in how they are applied, the results they provide and the types of hair each is used on. Find out below what those differences are and how you can benefit from the right choice of wax for you.
Warm Wax Application
With warm wax the wax is spread over the area after which a paper strip is pressed over it to adhere to both the wax and hairs, and then pulled off removing the hairs in that area from the root.
Areas
Because it is applied and removed straight away, the warm wax can be used quickly and efficiently over large areas such as the legs, arms, etc.
Hair Types
Warm wax is spread over the hair adhering both to the hairs and skin, so often this method of waxing will wax off the very top layer of the skin too, providing an exfoliating effect to the skin along with the hair removal for extra smooth results.
Hot Wax Application
Warmed to a slightly higher temperature, hot wax is a much thicker wax made up of plastics too to allow it to set hard. It is applied to the skin, allowed to cool and set, and then pulled directly off without the use of a paper strip.
Areas
As it takes a moment for hot wax to cool and set, this kind of wax is usually used over smaller areas for more efficient treatments times. Areas on the face like the upper lip as well as the pubic area are most commonly treated with hot wax.
Hair Types
Because hot wax sets around each of the hairs, it makes for a better grip and removal of thicker hairs that may be too stubborn to remove by warm wax. Hairs on the pubic area and underarms which grow thicker than other body hair are best removed with the hot wax for a cleaner and smoother result. The hot wax is also more effective at removing shorter hairs for this same reason of being able to adhere to the hair more for a better grip.
Brow lamination involves the “perming” of your eyebrow hairs to provide a fuller, more even look. Next, your brow hairs are brushed upward to help pull them in a uniform vertical direction. Then your provider will apply a neutraliser to help seal your brows into place. This treatment can be used to enhance your SPMU too, it can be made to look both super fluffy or more natural looking, depending on your taste.
