Middle Image: 4 weeks after the first session. Her new shape and the pigment in the skin has held very well through the healing process, an overall fade on both brows with a couple of patches that need more work than others is very normal after one session, but in this case, it’s minimal!

Bottom Image: Straight after the top up session. We went for the same shape, technique and colour. Her completed brows are now ready to take on the rest of the year before an annual top up is required next year. A lovely end result!

What a woman!

She wanted to give herself some brows after losing a lot of hair due to the chemo. While keeping them soft and natural so it wasn’t too obvious she’d had anything done.

We went for a slightly darker colour on this client on this annual top up as she has gone darker with her dark and turned her back on blonde forever! This is the beauty of SPMU because each year you and tweak and change the look depending on what you’re trying to achieve. We can go darker, lighter, filler, slimmer (depending on the level of fade). It’s not just a cookie cut mould for everyone by any means and each brow look is tailored to you.

World Mental Health Day

This year more than ever I believe even the most resilient of us have felt the pinch (punch in a lot cases) of your mental wealth being affected.

A lot of things can be measured in life, your waist line, your money, your blood pressure and even your eyebrows! But there is no scale to measure the state of your mental health and it can so easily change depending on your environment.

The things that make us happy in life this year have been swept from under our feet - family time, holidays and even doing the jobs we love so much.

A lot of good things have come out of this year too and it’s definitely worth focusing on those positives. I for one finished a book for the first time in 10 years! Actually started to enjoy walking and getting my steps up. Started to learn Spanish and really got into baking/cooking and found new exercises I LOVED doing.

Apparently it takes 12 positives to get over 1 negative as we are so easily influenced by ‘the bad’.

I find we get caught up believing that every day should be a happy one but that’s just not realistic, we are going to have flat days and that’s okay! But the trick is to do the things that make us happy even more on those days. Talk to those you respect and love, spend time with them and just let the laughter come out. The banter I have with my friends is second to none and it does my mind wonders. Find hobbies you truly enjoy and just spend some time doing them as often as you can.

Self care comes in many forms but the main most basic ones are:

Sleep
Nutrition
Exercise/get moving
(I also add doing beauty bits to my list because it makes me feel good! You got to do you hun).

We are here for allllll of our lovely clients and we will chat forever about any problems you may be having in a confidential space. It’s so important and after nearly 5 months of not seeing you all this year we realised how good you are for our souls too!!

This lovely lady came on for a new set of SPMU bro

This lovely lady came on for a new set of SPMU brows today. She never draws her brows on or has anything done to them but she knows she wanted something to frame her face and would suit her features.

We kept the colour light so that they wouldn’t be too scary and bold for her first ever time. We made the shape soft and rounded so to look natural but defined.

Overall lovely end result - the colour will fade anything you to 40% from here and the client may want to go darker on her top up session. Depending how well her skin holds pigment.

3 years nearly to the day between appointments 😱 wow time has really flown! We are chuffed with how well the shape has held for this clients brows over the years - they are certainly due a colour boost and a refresh! Super chuffed with the results for this lovely lady

Middle Image: 5.5 months since the first session. Covid really did get in between this lovely ladies brow sessions! But given the time period she really did hold pigment well on the first round.

Bottom image: Straight after the top up session. We went with the same colour and technique as the first time round, filled in the gaps and refreshed the shape.
